With Caring Hearts, The Staff of Whitfield Mortuary, LLC publicly announce the earthly transition of, 83 year old, Mother Shirley Ann Smith of Kinston, North Carolina who suddenly passed from labor to reward on Friday, November 14, 2025 at her residence. 

A public visitation will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 5pm-7pm in the Lenston Whitfield Sr. Memorial Chapel (1501 W. Vernon Avenue - Kinston, NC 28504).

A celebration of life will be conducted at 1pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the New Christian Fellowship Center (420 Browntown Rd. - Snow Hill, NC 28580). She will be laid to rest in the Southview Cemetery.
