Sherrod Suggs

Sherrod Suggs, 60, of Kinston, North Carolina (formerly of Boston, Massachusetts), passed
away surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at ECU Health Medical
Center in Greenville. Sherrod was born on September 28, 1964 in Kinston.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00PM Saturday,  March 22, 2025 at the Sand Hill FWB Church with military honors following the service. 
 

A public visitation will take place from 5:00PM - 7:00PM Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Lenston Whitfield Sr. Memorial Chapel. 

Sherrod leaves to cherish the memories of his life: his children, Lakenia Suggs and Sherrod
Suggs, Jr., both of Kinston; grandchildren, Millicent Locust and Milick Suggs; his siblings:
Steven Hooks of Kinston, Lesia Goodson (Robin) of Cambridge, Maryland, Tanya Yearwood,
Audrey Suggs-Chamblee (Lewis), Kristal Suggs, and Nina Thomas (Allen), all of Kinston; and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitfield Mortuary, LLC and are currently pending.
