Shamar Rayell Perry

The Management & Staff of Whitfield Mortuary publicly announce the earthly departure of 19 year old, Mr. Shamar R. Perry of Kinston, North Carolina who transitioned on Tuesday, December  26, 2023. 

A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00PM Saturday, January 6, 2023 at United Gospel Outreach Church with Minister Deonte' Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitley Family Cemetery. 

A Public Visitation will take place Friday, January 5, 2023 at the Lenston Whitfield, Sr. Memorial Chapel from 5:00PM - 7:00PM.

Shamar Rayelle Perry was born on September 5, 2004 in Greenville, NC to Annie Best and Desedrick Freeman Sr. He transitioned from his earthly life on December 28, 2023 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Although Shamar faced many obstacles in life, he always found a way to push through. He began attending Wayne Community College in efforts to pursue his GED. Shamar was very active and enjoyed working at Burger King with his fellow coworkers. He also loved boxing, as it became one of his favorite hobbies that he spent much time doing with one of his best friends, Shyhiem Ashford.
