Humbly Serving, We The Staff & Management of Whitfield Mortuary, LLC announce the earthly transition of 39 year old, Mr. Samuel James who transitioned from this earthly life on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at ECU Health in Greenville, North Carolina. 
 

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00PM Sunday, October 5, 2025 at River of Life Christian Center with Pastor John Flowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Mills Memorial Gardens. 

A Public Visitation will take place from 4:00PM - 5:00PM Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Hickory Grove Church of Christ - Disciples of Christ (601 West Road - Kinston, North Carolina) and will resume one hour prior to the service. 

Sympathy Cards & Floral Arrangements(Colors: black, white, orange, and silver) may be sent to Whitfield Mortuary, LLC 1501 W. Vernon Ave. - Kinston, North Carolina 28504.
