It has become the humble duty of Mr. Shannon G. Whitfield & The Staff of Whitfield Mortuary, LLC to publicly present the earthly transition of Minister Daisy Elizabeth Sutton. "Mother" as she was affectionately called, was summoned to eternal rest Saturday, October 21, 2023 at her residence.

A Public Wake will take place Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at the Lenston Whitfield, Sr. Memorial Chapel from 1:00PM - 3:00PM.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 7:00PM Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at the United Gospel Outreach Church with Pastor Wanda Fisher officiating.

Precious memories are stored in the hearts of three children, Demarcus Mewborn of Florida, Donta Mewborn of Arizona, and Nichelle Mewborn of Maryland, four brothers, Dexter Mewborn of Kinston, Sammy Mewborn of Florida, Charles Mewborn of Alabama, and Kenneth Mitchell of Virginia, sisters, Wanda Jones, Velma Rosenboro, Deborah Mewborn all of Kinston, and Sharon of Raleigh, NC, nine grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
