It has become the solemn duty of, Mr. Shannon G. Whitfield and Staff of Whitfield Mortuary, LLC to publicly announce the passing of, 31 year old, Miss Kieyatta LeQuail Butler who transitioned from the cares of this world on Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Virginia.
As a child, she was was fiesty and head strong. She was a Gemini. She loved hard and had your back til the end if she rocked with you but if she didn’t you would definitely know! She later got the nickname 3 Feet because she was so small but you felt her presence. She was a fashionista and loved her nice wigs too! Her best times came from spending time with her kids and family. She was the life of the party. She was so little but was so full of life. She was a vibe to be around.
Kieyatta was also smart, She was educated in the Lenoir County Public School System and graduated from Kinston High School. Kieyatta started cosmetology courses but later began to take business courses online. She wanted to have a career in fashion or assisting her sister with her food business. Kieyatta was employed by Pactiv in kinston shortly before her injury. Kieyatta had her own personal relationship with God.
Kieyatta is preceded in death by Great Grandparents Peachie Powell and Rev Griffin Powell Sr. Grandfather Bruce Butler Sr, Uncles Griffin Powell Jr, Bruce Butler Jr, Father Antonio Sutton, Her favorite Cousin Deonko Williams, Nephew Javion Butler, Great nephew Caden Williams and great niece Kylie Williams.
Kieyatta leaves to Cherish Memories—Mother Pamela Butler (Kinston), Two Daughters Skylar Butler and Adorable Bell of Lagrange. One Son Akillies Jones of Lagrange. Three siblings who she was very close to— Her sister Lekeshia Butler (Raleigh) and Two brothers- Gregory Butler (Kinston), and Kiyonte Butler (Raleigh). Grandparents Raymond and Johnnie Rhem (Kinston), and Grandmother Brenda Ingram (Kinston). Aunts-Sikeithia Rhem (Kinston), Carmela Brown (Jason) (Snellville), Quarla Blackwell (Kinston), and Renita Torrain (Kinston). Uncles—Michael Butler (Kinston), Robert Ingram (Grifton), Cory Ingram (Knightdale), and Earl “Bo” Koonce (Anne) (Kinston). Three neices—Tyriana Williams (Jermaine Miller) Shakaria Swinson, and Daviana Butler. One nephew Jahnte Sparrow. A special cousin Neicy Butler and cousin Tycheka Williams. Special friends Briana Torrain, Oreece Uzzell, Venica Weatherington, Shamir Mills, and Porsha Moore. A special friend/ baby father Aaron Bells. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life for Kieyatta will be conducted 1:00PM Saturday, June 24, 2023 from Church of Faith & Deliverance with Pastor John Flowers officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 4:00PM - 8:00PM, Friday, June 24, 2023 from the Lenston Whitfield Sr. Memorial Chapel. (1501 W. Precious memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of her three children, A'Dorable Bell, Skylar Butler, Akillies Jones all of LaGrange, NC, her mother, Pamela Butler of Kinston, one sister, LeKeshia Butler of Raleigh, two brothers, Kiyonte Butler of Raleigh and Gregory Butler of Kinston, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
