Jermaine Donnell Whitfield was welcomed into God's loving arms on Friday August 11th 2023.
Jermaine was born on March 5, 1981 to the union of Edward and Doris Whitfield in Lenoir County.
Jermaine accepted Jesus in his life at a very young age and he joined Jumping Run Church. He was a very active member. He served on the Security team, sung in the choir and assisted in any way he could throughout the church.
He attended Lenoir County Schools where he graduated from NLHS in 1999. He then went on to further his education at Elizabeth City State University for two years and then transferred to East Carolina University. He took being part of the Pirate Nation to heart. Football season you could look to see the flags flying high and Caiden, himself and whomever else wanted to tag along with him to the games.
Jermaine was employed at Master Brand Cabinet for 18 years where he held many positions.
He later pursued another career at Pactiv.
Jermaine aka Daddy Whitfield was very present and active in Caiden's life. He wore many hats when it came to Caiden and the extracurricular activities that he participated in. He was not only Caiden's dad but served as one of his coaches in baseball, football, and basketball. When you saw one you saw both; they were inseparable. The love that he had and showed Caiden is immeasurable. Family meant the world to him and being a faithful servant in the house of the Lord and the importance of having Jesus Christ in his life is what he has shown and instilled in Caiden.
