Elder Richard Ormond Croom

We, The Staff & Management of Whitfield Mortuary publicly submit the earthly transition of, 67 year old, Elder Richard Ormond Croom who slipped into the arms of Jesus on Monday, April 28, 2025 at his residence. 

A public visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 6pm-8pm at the Lenston Whitfield Sr. Memorial Chapel (1501 W. Vernon Avenue Kinston, NC 28504). 

A celebration of life will be conducted at 12noon on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Living Proof Church (1009 E. Bright Street Kinston, NC 28501).

Burial rites will take place at 12 noon Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery.
